Meet Lomont Molding’s November EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH, Patrick Batey.
Patrick has been with Lomont Molding for a little over a year now. Starting off as Maintenance, Patrick was promoted several months ago to his current position, Quality & Reliability Engineer.
While his position comes with a wide variety of responsibilities – primarily he coordinates sampling new tooling and revisions. He also oversees testing of parts and other quality processes. Patrick also plays a large role in continuous improvement of Lomont’s manufacturing processes.
Patrick was born and raised here in Mount Pleasant, IA. His education saw him at both University of Iowa and Iowa State.
When asked about the most interesting thing he finds about working at Lomont – his response was regarding the diversity of equipment and processes at Lomont. He enjoys getting to learn and work with the wide range of equipment brands and different processes Lomont uses compared to other plastic molders.
Outside of work – Patrick enjoys playing guitar, trapshooting, rock hunting, and being outdoors in general. He is well respected for his vast knowledge and strong work ethic by his peers.
